Living in the city has many perks: there’s always somewhere to go out, there’s millions of strangers to meet and there’s always at least one 24/7 corner shop within walking distance of your house. But my favourite perk? Not needing to own a car.

Because when you own a car, you life transforms into an epic battle against ticket officers and a severe lack of car parking spaces. Take this woman, for instance, whose drive was being parked in by more people than Kim K during the Ray J years.

Julie Geue, 48, was fed up with people parking in her drive, which happens to be right opposite a train station in Crowborough, East Sussex.

She was due to get her drive gravelled when a mystery person decided to park in her spot. Instead of calling the builders back another day, she told them to leave the gravel blocking the car’s exit.

Inside the bag of gravel, she left a trowel with a note attached to it that read: “Happy digging, at least it’s not raining.”

According to Julie, the driver claimed to have gotten confused about which drive he should be parking in when visiting a friend. Here’s a clue: try the one that’s attached to your friend’s house.

“The offender in this case claims to have made a genuine error and got confused about which house he should be parking in front of,” she said.

“Unfortunately, after over ten years of putting up with lazy, obnoxious and rude, often threatening, people doing the this I no longer care if it’s a genuine mistake or not.”

You go, Glen Coco.
